Update: Due to the recent events involving COVID-19, we will be postponing our event in support of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. We will continue updating this article once we have determined our updated date. We have extended the campaign timeline through our donation link, so please still consider raising money for AFSP.

As we eluded to in our previous article, our next event will be in support of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This event aims to be our largest event to date, as we seek to raise $5,000 during the months of March and April for the AFSP to support their mission of raising awareness, funding scientific research and provide resources to those impacted by suicide.

“Suicide affects a lot more of us than we think.” Founder and co-owner of Level Up For Charity, Jordan Briney, said. “We have an opportunity to bring people together during our event and draw awareness to something that has continued to grow not only here in the United States, but around the world.” Currently, according to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention website, there is an average of 129 suicides per day, with this rate continuing to go up.

On April 18th and 19th, Level Up For Charity will be hosting an official livestream marathon event in which all proceeds will go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This event will include a number of special guests, important discussions about how individuals can help others, and of course, video games. The goal is to raise $5,000 by the end of April, which you can go to our Donation Page to make a contribution right now until April 30th, 2020. All proceeds are tax-deductible. You can watch this event live on our Twitch Page, which will go for 24 straight hours.

More information, including special guests, sponsorships, and more will be coming soon! If you’d like to know more about the AFSP, you can find more about them at their Website.
